Privacy policy

Last updated: 2 October 2026

This policy explains how erscope handles personal data on erscope.com and its waitlist, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The erscope product is not live yet; we will update this policy before it processes any creator or fan data.

Who is responsible

The data controller is erscope. Contact us about anything in this policy at [email protected].

What we collect and why

DataPurposeLegal basis
Email address, the plan and platforms you picked, when you gave and confirmed consentConfirm your signup and email you about erscope's launch and early accessYour consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a))
Optional survey answers after you confirm: earnings range, what would help you most, tools you use and any commentDecide what to build first and how to price itYour consent: every question is optional (GDPR art. 6(1)(a))
The page you signed up from (address without query string)Understand which pages bring signupsLegitimate interest (GDPR art. 6(1)(f))
Your IP address, briefly and only in memoryStop spam and abuse of the signup formLegitimate interest (GDPR art. 6(1)(f))

We do not store IP addresses: the signup form keeps a one-way hash of it in memory for about ten minutes (at most eleven) to limit repeated attempts. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising or combine it with other sources.

Cookies and tracking

erscope.com sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Fonts are served from our own server, so your browser does not contact third parties when you visit.

How long we keep it

  • If you do not confirm your email, we delete your signup after 30 days.
  • Survey answers are stored with your signup and deleted together with it.
  • If you unsubscribe, we delete your signup immediately. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link.
  • Otherwise we keep it until erscope launches and you are invited, or until we close the waitlist, whichever comes first.
  • Database backups are kept for 14 days, so deleted data disappears from backups within 14 days.

If you use the erscope dashboard

To see whether erscope is useful, we record when you sign in and when you open the dashboard (at most once an hour), with your account and workspace id. We do not use outside analytics tools for this. These records are deleted after 13 months.

If you send us feedback from the dashboard, we keep your message with your workspace and email it to our team, with your address only if you ask us to reply. It is deleted when your workspace is deleted.

When something breaks, we record the error to fix it: the error message and where in our code it happened. Before storing it we remove email addresses, long numbers, tokens and web address parameters. Error records are deleted after 30 days.

If a workspace owner turns on the AI assistant, we send purchase facts about a fan (amounts, dates, subscription state) to the AI provider in use (Anthropic, OpenAI or Google), never the fan's name or any id. We only use providers that have agreed not to keep this data.

To help with a problem, a member of the erscope team may open your workspace as its owner sees it, for up to an hour, and may note why. They can see what you see, including fan names and revenue, and adjust settings such as segment rules or goals. They cannot message fans, delete or export data, or change your team. The owners get an email each time, every visit is listed under Security in the dashboard, and everything done during it is in the workspace's audit log.

Who processes it for us

We use a hosting provider for our servers and an email delivery provider to send our emails. They act only on our instructions under a data processing agreement (GDPR art. 28). If data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we use the safeguards GDPR requires, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your data, to restrict or object to its use, and you can withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing (GDPR art. 15–22). Write to [email protected]; we answer within one month.

If you use the erscope dashboard, you can do most of this yourself under Data: download everything we keep about your workspace, delete a fan, delete a connected account's data, or delete your workspace or your account. Deleting a workspace or an account stops all access at once and becomes permanent after 7 days, so a mistake can still be undone; backups are overwritten within the following 14 days.

You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live or work.

Age

erscope is for adults. Do not join the waitlist if you are under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy, we update the date above. If a change affects how we use the data you already gave us, we email you before it applies.
